Applying for the one-time top-up to the Canada Housing Benefit - Canada Revenue Agency For many Canadians, the rise of inflation and the high cost of living has made it even more challenging to find a safe and affordable place to call home. That's why the Government of Canada is taking action to help vulnerable Canadian renters facing housing affordability challenges. On December 12, 2022, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is accepting applications for the one-time top-up to the Canada Housing Benefit and you may be eligible to apply! This benefit provides a one-time payment of $500 to eligible applicants.
